  • If you become a client, information required to provide accounting, taxation, payroll and advisory services, which may include financial records, IRD numbers, bank account details, payroll and employee information, and other business or financial information relevant to the engagement.

1.2 Information collected automatically

  • Technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited and how you interact with our website, collected through cookies and similar analytics technologies.
  • Website usage data used to understand how visitors use our site and to improve its content and performance.

1.3 Information from third parties

  • Where relevant to an engagement, we may receive information from third parties such as Inland Revenue (IRD), your bank, your previous accountant, Xero, or other software providers you authorise us to connect with.

2. How we use your information

We use personal information for purposes including:

  • Responding to enquiries, arranging and conducting discovery calls, and providing quotes for our packages (Foundations, Essentials, Advisory+ and Virtual CFO) or bespoke services.
  • Delivering accounting, taxation, payroll, advisory and Virtual CFO services under a letter of engagement, including preparing financial statements, filing tax returns, managing GST and PAYE obligations, and liaising with IRD on your behalf.
  • Managing our client relationship, including invoicing, records management and communicating with you about your engagement.
  • Improving our website and services, including analysing how our website is used.
  • Complying with our legal, regulatory and professional obligations, including obligations under tax law, anti-money laundering legislation, and Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ) professional standards, where applicable.
  • Marketing communications, such as occasional updates about our services, where you have not opted out.

We only collect personal information that is necessary for the purposes set out in this Policy. Where we collect sensitive or financial information as part of an engagement, this is necessary for us to perform the accounting and advisory services you have asked us to provide, and to meet our legal and professional obligations.

  • Ask us to confirm whether we hold personal information about you, and to access that information.
  • Ask us to correct personal information that is inaccurate, incomplete, misleading or out of date.
  • Request further information about how we collect, hold, use and disclose your personal information.

We retain personal and financial information for as long as necessary to provide our services, to meet our legal, tax and professional record-keeping obligations (which may require retention for a number of years after an engagement ends), and to resolve disputes. When information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to securely delete or de-identify it.

Our website and services are directed at businesses and business owners. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
